Uma crítica ontológica ao “estado estacionário” de Herman Daly a Economia Ecológica como Economia Ambiental travestida

Abstract

In the article, we seek to elaborate an ontological critique of the concept of steady state, as advanced by one of the main exponents of the Ecological Economy, Herman Daly. For this, other central aspects of this important current of environmental thought will also be confronted, such as optimal scale, uneconomic growth, qualitative growth and the idea of a full world. This will demonstrate that, despite their reasonably distinct starting points, Ecological Economics and Environmental Economics share a common ontology and therefore project an image of what a sustainable society would or should be that is similar in almost everything.
