A century later: the relevance of Imperialism as the highest stage of capitalism

Abstract
This article proposes a characterization of the current turbulent and dramatic global economy in light of the Marxist method and, specifically, of the formulation of imperialism proposed by Lenin in his 1916 book, Imperialism, the highest stage of capitalism That is, not as one option among others, but as the final stage into which capitalist society inevitably leads, given the laws that govern it. This includes a political corollary regarding the reactionary nature of reformism and class collaboration.
